Job Description 

A Cybersecurity Consultant I is an entry to mid-level position where the ideal candidate is responsible for performing and delivering fundamental digital forensics and incident response (DFIR) services, as well as penetration testing services, for engagements with our clients and partners. This includes participating in initial discussions with clients, performing technical services under supervision of project leads, basic reporting, and participating in final outbrief with clients. REQUIRED

• 1+ year minimum of DFIR and/or SOC experience 

• 1+ year minimum of penetration testing and vulnerability assessment experience 

• Knowledgeable with popular tools such as Elastic Stack or Splunk (or other SIEMs), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) platforms, Cyber Triage, Magnet Forensics Axiom, FTK Imager, Wireshark, Nmap, Tenable Nessus, Burp Suite Pro, Metasploit, Kali Linux, and more 

• Demonstrated basic experience in digital forensics and/or SOC analysis, including triaging security alerts, investigating adversary TTPs, determining attack vectors, and understanding the cyber kill chain 

• Basic familiarity with endpoint and network security fundamentals 

• Basic familiarity with cloud security fundamentals 

• Ability to contribute to client-facing communications, manage assignments through to completion and meet deadlines, and help address client issues 

• Ability to help improve areas of the methodologies, tools, and processes used by our team 

• Willingness to carry out research and development work as required to continually advance core knowledge areas and develop niche interests and specialties

NICE TO HAVE 

• Relevant degree and/or cybersecurity certifications a plus, such as GCFA, GCFE, GCIH, CFCE, GPEN, PenTest+, eJPT, OSCP, etc. 

• Experience with malware analysis a plus 

• Basic familiarity with Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) fundamentals, including adversary attribution, TTPs, and IOCs 

• Experience reviewing cloud configurations and exploiting common cloud specific security weaknesses a plus 

• Basic proficiency in common scripting or programming languages a plus 

• Demonstrable experience in computer science, information security, and coding or systems administration
