Job Description 

A Cybersecurity Consultant II is a mid-level position where the ideal candidate is responsible for performing and delivering digital forensics and incident response (DFIR) services, as well as penetration testing services, for engagements with our clients and partners. This includes initial discussions with clients, performing the technical services, reporting, and final outbrief with clients. REQUIRED

• 2+ years minimum of DFIR experience 

• 2+ years minimum of penetration testing and vulnerability assessment experience 

• Knowledgeable with tools such as Elastic Stack or Splunk, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) platforms, Cyber Triage, Magnet Forensics Axiom, FTK Imager, Wireshark, Nmap, Tenable Nessus, Burp Suite Pro, Metasploit, Kali Linux, and more 

• Demonstrated fundamental experience in DFIR and adversary TTPs, determining attack vectors, and understanding the cyber kill chain 

• Basic proficiency in endpoint and network security 

• Basic proficiency in cloud security including reviewing cloud configurations 

• Basic familiarity with Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) fundamentals, including adversary attribution, TTPs, and IOCs 

• Basic proficiency in common scripting or programming languages 

• Ability to lead or participate in client-facing communications, manage projects through to completion and meet deadlines, and address client requests 

• Ability to take responsibility for improving areas of the methodologies, tools, and processes used by our team 

• Willingness to carry out research and development work as required to continually advance core knowledge areas and develop niche interests and specialties

NICE TO HAVE 

• Relevant degree and/or cybersecurity certifications a plus, such as GCFA, GCFE, GCIH, CFCE, GPEN, PenTest+, eJPT, OSCP, etc. 

• SOC and SIEM experience a plus 

• Malware reverse engineering experience a plus, including tools such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, etc. 

• Red or purple teaming experience a plus 

• AD, Entra ID, and/or other identity provider (IdP) and IAM experience a plus 

• Exploiting common cloud specific security weaknesses a plus 

• Experienced in providing training and/or mentoring to other team members is a plus 

• Demonstrable experience in computer science, information security, and coding or systems administration
